Simply stated, did I overplay this hand? Mini-raise from UTG (A-A or K-K) and a few callers and then this whooper of a flop:

Ok, so I flopped the joint straight, but there is a flush draw out there. I bet - then get a caller - then a RERAISE - so I thought I had to protect my hand with the hammer all in. So, what are your thoughts if you may?

Not sure what you're hoping to accomplish here. You win a small pot with the nuts. I would re-re-raise but not all in. Make a bet that would make it incorrect for a flush draw to call. A set wouldn't min raise here. An overpair might, but would definitely call a smaller raise. Worry about the guy in the middle who just called. J-10 maybe. Flush draw possible. Make it a big bet to hopefully win some extra money, but don't overbet to win a little.
Hey Gumby, thanks for stopping by.
Now that I look back on it, I think you are right in that I bet too much, but you don't realize how many times how my BIG hands have turned into disasters lately.
I actually put the minimum raiser from UTG who called my bet on the flop on a pair like A-A, K-K, or even Q-Q and know that it could be difficult for him (or at least bad players) to fold a hand like that (was wrong) but was wrong I guess... Will try something different if I get into another situation like this next time...
